Starting over in a new world isn't easy; Not when the dominant species on Earth has changed. Despite it being a thousand years since the humans died off, here in Seranam, the recreation is only beginning. Territorial wolves might fight you to the death for a drink of water, or a mother may kill you for even looking at her newly born pups. How will you survive in this kind of world, where all Hell might break loose at the touch of a twig? Will you survive in this kind of landscape, which in normal terms shouldn't be that hard, or will you perish like many that have tried to start over in these lands?

Season
The harsh summer has finally past letting the land have a sigh of relief, as the leaves in the forests begin their transition in color. Norte Frio has turn back to its chilled weather, letting the snow fall to cover the unusual green land. The lands of Hermosa Clima have been relieved of the beat down that the sun gave them, instead a cool breeze seems to always be present no matter where you seem to go. The only place that has unusual weather is the lands of Sol del Sur, with their usual hot and steamy weather has flipped to a lighter heat and still an iceberg at night. Mating

The mountains appeared to eat the sun, the jagged tops being fangs of a monster. The sun was slowly descending, and Akiak knew that the little warmth it offered would die moments after the sun had fully disappeared. Cold would sweep across the lands, but Akiak and his sister were in no good position. The mountains were cold enough as is, the missing sun would be no help. Disasterous even.
The large gray male turned around, not wanting to look at the sun anymore. His amber gaze fell on Sesi, digging around in the snow. What she could be looking for was beyond Akiak. There was nothing in the mountains. On the other side there would be life, a wolf pack, something. They just had to find it. Life, something to live for. The only thing Akiak did was keep his sister out of trouble. Keep her safe.
"Akiak, I found something!"
Even though he was looking at her, Akiak had not been watching. His mind had drifted, and now he snapped back to the present. Sesi was digging frantically, and she thrust her head down and began to pull at whatever treasure she had found.
Sesi tugged and pulled until her find became loose. She gave a last heave, and revealed her treasure. A frozen rabbit. It's body was frozen stiff, but it was food. Excitement washed through the white wolf. Surely Akiak would praise her. Even he had been unable to find food in this barren wasteland. Why her brother had wanted to come through the mountains in the first place was beyond her.
Tail raised with triumph, Sesi trotted over to Akiak, dropping her catch at his paws. She adored her brother, and he was the alpha in their relationship. She would let him eat first. Akiak ignored the rabbit, and Sesi watched - dumbfounded - as he examined the area. "What are you doing?" She asked, clueless.
"Shh! I'm making sure no one is around. Food is precious here!" Akiak whispered, his voice taut.
Sesi's ears flattened, embarrassed by her own stupidity. She had not seen another wolf besides Akiak in months. She didn't even think another predator may lurk in the mountains and want their sacred meal.

Snow-white ears pricked at the sound of barking in the distance. Nazuna's blue-gold eyes flickered with suprise. She let her paws thunder towards the sounds of other wolves, dodging low hanging branches of pine trees. Nazuna puased, not daring to move. She wanted to figure out who or what she was dealing with first. A wave of hope crashed down on her wanting to sweep her of her paws. She watched as a young she-wolf and a male barked quietly to each other. The male held his catch in her jaws. She felt her stomach growl, lowly and she winced. She watched from behind a small holly bush with anticipation. The way the two wolves spoke to each other made Nazuna relize that they must be related. "Greetings," she barked after summuning up the courage to speak to the pair.

A few scattered stars, bright and resilient, appeared low on the horizon of the darkening heavens. The night would bring the scheduled darkness and further more freeze the air. Though the heavy storm’s clouds that had covered the sky with a seemingly unbreakable overcast had just been here a few days ago, they had all disappeared, leaving a clear sky. The blanket would have been welcoming on a day like this. The summer temperatures had already deteriorated and cloud cover would trap the heat in.
Everyone seems to be holding up well though, except for the fact of the occasional disagreement between Cheza and Tess. They have been getting along better though, but no one seems to trust each one another. Cheza constantly eyed Tess and me warily as if waiting for a sudden attack. She’ll get over it. I told her I wasn’t going to harm either of them...
Hunger raked at the sides of my stomach. I hadn’t eaten a good meal for sometime…no doubt everyone else was craving for some good meat. I noticed the scent of some moose around here. It would be a good kill and we have just enough wolves together to bring one down now. My mind wandered, beginning to fantasize about how appealing the meat would taste. The warm blood dripping down my maw, my teeth shredding the body to get to my favorite parts…I could nearly smell the meat…wait, I do smell meat.
I stole a glance to the others and stopped walking; Cheza was looking at me trying to see if I noticed it as well. I dipped my head slightly in acknowledgement. The scent was faint; it didn’t seem like it would be a large carcass, a small snack more like.
Distance barking alerted me, my ears perking up. There were others here, more loners.

Akiak ignored his sister, not even feeling bad for embarrassing her. It was true he was heartless towards her at times, but that was because they were family. He could get away with it, right? He was nice to her sometimes too, but he was sure being strict with Sesi would help shape her up. The large male was still scenting for any intruders.
To his dismay, a she-wolf appeared from behind a holly bush. She barked a friendly greeting, but Akiak only narrowed his eyes in response. A threatening growl escaped his lips. "This rabbit is ours. Don't even think about it." He growled, his voice menacing.
When Akiak growled, Sesi's heart skipped a beat. Was he growling at her? But his eyes were focused elsewhere, and Sesi turned to follow his gaze. Her eyes landed on another wolf, and she heard her friendly greeting. Sesi opened her mouth to return the hello, but Akiak spoke before she could.
Why can't he start a conversation in a friendly way? The white she-wolf thought irritably. Reluctantly, she moved over so that she was standing at Akiak's side, opposing the newcomer. She didn't growl though, she was sure Akiak alone looked frightening enough. She studied the new wolf's demeanor, curious and suddenly longing to talk. It would be nice to have another companion besides her thick-skulled brute of a brother.
Both wolves were so intent on the new she-wolf, and being downwind, they had no idea that three more wolves were coming...

The rain had most definitely let up, and now we were all in better spirits. The sun was out, but it had gotten colder as well. After Genesis arrived, we figured we'd all just travel up towards the Estrellas together, as there was a better chance of survival if we were grouped together than if we had all strayed apart. Yeah, okay, so what if you don't all make it? Well, the thing is, to be honest, I didn't think any of us were really thinking about the others, instead focusing on the fact that we ourselves would have a better chance of making it. I was getting grumpy, though, and wasn't so sure if this whole grouping up thing was really worth it. I was strong enough to get up there myself, but I wasn't that much of a bitch that I was just gonna desert these guys right here... I sighed, picking up my heavy feet and placing them back into the snow, my movements becoming patterns and rhythms. I was in front, head low to the ground, nose scenting out game paths, eyes scanning the forest ahead of us in hope of finding an easier path. At least it wasn't cold and icky, and the sun was shining down on us. My back was pretty warm, but my feet were freezing.
Genesis had come up a little while I had stopped to scent the base of a tree. I found nothing on the wood, and turned to look at the male. His head was up, ears pricked forward, and I flicked my gaze back to Cheza to see if she had noticed. She had, and I wondered what it was that the two of them had noticed. I cocked a brow, padding closer to Genesis when I heard a harsh voice erupt from a few feet ahead of us. My ears flicked back, legs pushing through the snow with my teeth bared. My tail curled dominantly over my rump, and a slight growl grew from my form. "We won't touch your damn rabbit." I snapped, stepping out from behind the tree and staring the male right in the face. There were two other females here as well, and for a moment I wondered if he was some weird man-whore. I nearly laughed at myself, but bit my lip and held back. "We're travelers, as you are, so I suppose you can sympathize the feeling when you scent a piece of fresh meat?" I looked down at the pathetic meal, grimacing slightly. "Alright, maybe not so fresh," I corrected myself, but shrugged. "You get what I mean. We're just passing through on our way North."
The female standing near him, the one that looked the closest to the male, seemed friendly. It took me a minute to realize it wasn't us that they were looking at, in fact, I had basically just appeared out of the trees talking to him first. Whoops. "I'm Tess, this is Genesis, and that's Cheza." I said, pointing to the two behind me. "And who are you all?"

As Tesevix rushed forward snarling, making her entrance to the wolves ahead, I quietly padded away like a ghost. They had found other wolves and I knew they could defend their selves just fine. They were both every strong, personality wise and from the looks of it, well enough physically as well. If I stayed with any wolf or wolves too long I’ll end up causing havoc. It seems that all I now am is a problem. They would soon forget me. I hoped they didn’t see it as myself running away from the wolves. I shook my head as I continued away. I probably wouldn’t see them again anyways so that wouldn’t matter. Perhaps though, should I ever decide to venture up here again, I shall greet them.
The mountains were beautiful to live in, but I want to go back and investigate that beach I saw a distance away. Something about it seemed ever so alluring…the white sands appeared extremely luxurious. The ocean was a place that I’ve always felt at peace. It resembles me in many ways. I wanted to go back there, smell the ocean’s salty spray, hear the crashing waves, and feel the sands run up through my paws.
‘I’m Tess, this is Genesis, and that’s Cheza’
I let out a short laugh under my breath. I’m not there. I slipped away without notice. Their voices were faint now. Time to take a jog.

Akiak swiveled his head when yet another wolf made her appearance. Her dominant stature angered the male, and he straightened himself even higher to look more menacing. He drew his lips back, exposing his sharp fangs. He said nothing as the she-wolf spoke, but kept his defiant posture. Akiak felt himself smirk when the female realized she had not introduced herself. "I'm Akiak, and this is my sister, -"
"Sesi!" The white female beamed, before her brother could muster her name. She didn't want to be introduced by him. She waved her tail as a friendly gesture, and held no threatening pose. She looked at each wolf in turn when they were introduced, but it seemed that either Tess was crazy, or the missing wolf disappeared. "Where's your other friend? Or is he imaginary?" She teased, but looked around to see if the one called Genesis was still around.

"Nice to meet you Akiak--" I had started, watching the dark male closely, before a smaller, lighter female bounced from behind him and towards me. "...and Sesi." I laughed softly to myself, liking the female's personality. I looked around me for Cheza and Genesis, but Genesis seemed to be nowhere in sight. I growled lightly, barking out, "Genesis!" I saw Cheza back in the trees, but I didn't even smell Genesis anymore. I turned around, giving Sesi a glance telling her to just pardon me for a moment.
I hunkered down back into the trees, kicking Cheza to perhaps tell her to go make friends with the new wolves. Sarcasm, of course. I sniffed around, swinging my gaze back and forth, trying to spot the male we had arrived with. "Genesis!" I growled, but gave up. There were foot prints in the snow with his scent connected to them, moving away from us. I snarled, walking back up towards where Cheza and the others were. "Alright, my bad. Genesis just decided to ditch us, so it's just me and Cheza... I guess..." Damn. It just occured to me that Cheza and I would be walking up to the Estrellas together... without anyone else. Let's just hope we both get out alive and not claw each other's throats off.

I kept scanning back and forth through the snow-coated trees, searching for Genesis’ black shadow of a body. I always knew something was up with him. Go figure he’d leave me with Tesevix and a group of wolves I didn’t know. From the looks of it, Tess wasn’t too happy about it either. Their teasing about him being imaginary pissed me off further more. My hackles were raised bristling, my tail, twitching, slowing of my irritation. Dumbass idea to piss off a wolf like me…and it’s the damn mating season. Gah. I hate this…I’m out numbered.
I walked slowly back and forth in front of the pair of wolves who seemed to be siblings. Just to give off the impression that I was going to attack them or steal some of their “precious” food, er…scraps, displaying that I wasn’t afraid to fight them if that is what they wanted. As Tesevix walked up to me, I stopped moving and returned to my stationary defensive position.
“Nice to meet you both. Akiak, Sesi,” I nodded at each of them. It was as much as I could offer as friendliness, trying to start a friendly conversation. “So why have you guys come up here?”
[[Yuck. I think this post was pretty bad. -gag- Sorry! ]]

Akiak watched the two she-wolves with mild curiousity, but more than anything he wanted to leave, taking with him his meal. It angered him that they seemed to care little for the small meal. It probably meant they had better luck hunting. But Akiak was also a wolf of tradition, and his father had always taught him that food was precious and not to be taken lightly. Eat while you can because you don't know when or where or your next meal will be.
Akiak forced himself to stop being so obsessive over his rabbit, and at least attempt to be friendly. He was a wolf, so naturally social. He wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to gather information. He looked at Cheza as she addressed him. "We're passing through. You?" He asked, not wanting to give away too much about himself. The gray male glanced at Sesi to warn her to keep her mouth shut, but she was curiously watching Tess sniff around. He forced himself to look back at Cheza, keeping a neutral expression.
