The wind blew restlessly around me every breathe of it battered my fur and stung my eyes. I just stood though...motionless and forsaken to this world. My heart yearned to taste the blood of my enemies have it drip from my jaws and feel the weight of it on my paws, but I knew better. If I wished to remain where I was now I had to play the part, fool everyone around me. Yes I did have friends, but not many. I loved being part of the pack along with my younger sister, but nothing lasts forever. Sooner or later someone is going to come around and it would be too late and like a shadow in the dark I would vanish brought down by my own monstrosity.

Once my secret was out I would be cast aside and banished, seperated from my only family within the pack. True my older brother knew my secret, he was the only one that did know of my blackend heart, I could go live with him, but if the wolves of my pack did not cast me out I would more than likely be killed and fed upon by dark creatures of the night and soon the great birds that ruled the skies. Unfortunately I am two sides of one tale. Some take it that I am of two souls, but no I am only of one and one alone. I hate myself for who and what I am, but I could never change. This curse that burdens me makes it impossible to do that. Many brutes like me, but I could never settle down with just one of them. My enemies taunt me and others tell me to just let it go, but my mind turns with plots and deeds of their deaths. I see young ones and fall to my knees like a helpless she-wolf that has no clue of what she's doing.

I have many dreams of my own pup hood watching me and my brothers grow strong and sturdy like the mighty oak trees that grown in our forests. Even then though my heart was as black as the shattered glass found in the mountains. Obsidian some would call it and the only light that you could find within me was the burning pain that ravished their day after day. I'd watched my friend fall, I saw the light disappear from his eyes and no one even tried to help him. This is what turned me, made me who I am. Kota and I are the only one who knew the truth of what happened to Van. We watched one of our own push him over the side of the mountain. Everyone though he had just slipped, but we saw and we knew.

Now I stand in the forest just listening to the sounds that surrounded all around trying to find some comfort and refuge from them. I often came here to at least try and forget about everything and again restrain the beast that was caged within me. I couldn't afford a slip up not with Raci around. She was the youngest in our litter and I could not leave her alone in this world with nothing, but the fires of hatred and pain to comfort her. I couldn't and wouldn't do that to her. With our brothers gone and in different places I was all that Raci had left and I would abandon her. However as the seasons passed the creature within me became more and more hungry and thirsted for a taste of something sweeter. There wasn't much time before the hell within me would be unleashed and my secret known.
